DUBAI: Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council (DMC), Brand Dubai has officially launched the highly anticipated 2025 edition of #EidInDubai.

The announcement follows the success of #RamadanInDubai, a campaign that brought together residents and visitors through over 200 cultural, spiritual, and entertainment events.

The launch event, held at a press conference hosted by Brand Dubai, was attended by Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, alongside representatives from public and private sector partners. The campaign aims to elevate Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for festive experiences, showcasing its rich heritage and contemporary appeal.

#RamadanInDubai

Reflecting on the resounding success of #RamadanInDubai, Mona Al Marri expressed gratitude to all participants, highlighting how the campaign strengthened Dubai’s social fabric and global appeal. “This year’s campaign embodies the spirit of the ‘Year of Community,’ and represents a tribute to the country’s social cohesiveness and rich heritage,” she noted.

The #RamadanInDubai campaign transformed the city with immersive experiences, including heritage-themed events, charitable initiatives, and spectacular light displays at mosques and key landmarks. Community iftars, storytelling nights, and cultural exhibitions fostered a deep sense of unity and generosity.

Social media engagement skyrocketed, with campaign videos garnering 10 million views, over 900,000 interactions, and more than 9,000 combined posts and news articles. Media coverage spanned 200 reports across television, print, and digital platforms, underscoring the global interest in Dubai’s festive offerings.

As part of the campaign, international travellers arriving in Dubai received a unique welcome—passports stamped with the #RamadanInDubai logo, symbolising the city’s hospitality.

Eid line-up

Building on this momentum, the #EidInDubai campaign will feature a diverse lineup of entertainment, shopping, and cultural events from 25 March to 6 April. Dubai’s skyline will dazzle with fireworks at multiple locations, while world-class musical performances, thrilling ice shows, and sporting events will entertain audiences.

Shoppers can look forward to exclusive promotions, cashback offers, and the Eid Al-Fitr Raffle, enhancing the festive shopping experience. Special dining experiences will showcase Dubai’s culinary diversity, bringing together local and international flavours.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, emphasised that the Eid celebrations will not only highlight the UAE’s cultural richness but also reinforce Dubai’s status as a premier global destination. “The city’s vibrant Eid festivities will create a joyful atmosphere that brings residents and visitors together in celebration,” she said.

At the press conference, Brand Dubai also recognised key partners, media outlets, and community members for their contributions to the success of the #RamadanInDubai campaign. Winners of the ‘Dubai’s Best Decorated Ramadan Homes’ competition were honoured, with Asma Alyassi from Muhaisnah 3 securing first place and winning Dh100,000. Mansoor Al Zahidi and Abbas Alkhajeh from Al Warqa 3 received Dh60,000 and Dh40,000 for second and third place, respectively. Additionally, 20 participants were awarded Umrah trips for two.
